DIY To Do List
30 March 2013
I snapped this very cool chick on the Kings Road the other day wearing her newly spiked UGGs, that she DIY'd herself. You maybe thinking how far can we all go with this 'spiking every that's wearable' craze and in some cases I agree, but these I think are awesome.
With these Uggs, gold spikes are essential, if you are wondering where to get them; just hit eBay! Because the fabric is soft piercing the sheepskin is easy, for more instructions follow the same method as I did for my spikey converse - here.

My Last Ever Post....
31 December 2012
For 2012!!!!!
As we say farewell to 2012, a mammoth year of celebrations, from The Queens Jubilee to that little sporting event called the Olympics! For the Style StreetStalker it has also been a fabulous year, so I thought I'd give you a little recap of my favourite moments.
Starting with the main reason I started the blog - Street Style baby! I've photographed some fabulous fashionista's, here are some of my favourites!
Wardrobe Ideas: Mens Shirt Face Lift
25 July 2012
If you're anything like me, I get bored of my wardrobe so often and this unhealthy attitude is a killer on the bank balance! Therefore, I've started recycling old items and giving them a much needed face lift!

I started with this old shirt which I actually used to sleep in! It was so long, I thought about turning into a kind of shirt dress, perfect for evenings out with the girlies or holidays with my vintage white shorts!
I started by cutting off the cuffs and sleeves - this is so I could create three quarter length, slightly gathered sleeves, which would make the shirt look more like a 'dress' rather than an over sized shirt.
Gather the end of the cut off sleeve with a single thread, then sew the cuff of the shirt (which you have cut off earlier) back on. I'm not going into too much detail because this DIY project will totally depend on the size of the shirt etc, so you may need to play around with it a bit!
Then I pinned onto the front of the shirt two strips of vintage silk, once pinned, turn the edges under and sew.
Replace the buttons with something slightly more interesting to match the silk..
E Voila!!!
Jazzing up old items is a great way to revamp your wardrobe, little things which are easy to do like replacing buttons on shirts or jackets to dying jeans makes a big difference and will prologue your desire to whip out that credit card and attack the highstreet.. well at least for a week or so!!
DIY: Studded Converse
29 May 2012
As you have probably gathered, studded converse are so hot right now! Therefore, I thought I would show you just how easy they are to make.. so you have absolutely no excuse!
All you need is:
Converse
Studs - however many depending on how studded you would like it, I used 20, 10 on each side.
Screw driver
Small pliers
Small pair of nail scissors
Firstly make your holes in the converse, I just used a pair or nail scissors but you can use anything that will do the same job. remember to make the holes small.
Push through the material the screw part of stud. Then simply tightly screw the stud top onto the bottom part. Soo easy!!
I am totally addicted to my studded converse they look great with everything and this is a great way to funk up an old pair! Obviously you can put as many studs on as you like depending on how hardcore you want to be, personally I'm a 'less is more' kinda chick! You can buy the studs from Ebay and there are plenty of distributors in Hong Kong that will send them with free delivery.
Try it and see how easy it is! Warning though once you start studding you'll never go back!!!
If the thought of making these is too daunting, let me make them for you!! I do bespoke studded converse here.
DIY Dipping
16 April 2012
Recently you may have noticed a popular fashion faze that's going round.. from hair to clothing people are going mad for a spot of dip dye!
I've wanted to try out this idea for ages, it's a great to liven up a pair of jeans. After searching high and low for the perfect pair, I discovered these cool ones in H&M. Dip dying is really easy all you need is...
One pair of jeans
Fabric Dye - Any colour you want, I used 'Antique grey'
Table Salt
Firstly erect a way of hanging the trousers from the legs so that the top of the jeans hang evenly into the bucket of die, then just follow the instructions of the fabric dye. It's that easy and a great way to put your own stamp on a high street item.. it's also very addictive so no doubt by the end of the season my entire wardrobe would have been dyed in some way or another!
