How To Out Shine Other Guests
12 June 2016
It's that time again, the wedding and garden party season is upon us and if you're anything like me you'll already be looking inside your wardrobe and thinking 'what the hell am I going to wear!?' well fear not, my little curated selection of emerging designers will easily make you stand out in the crowd and get lots of heads turning!
Designers I'm coveting at the moment:
Bashar Assaf
A Beirut-based
Lebanese fashion designer. His garments tend to accentuate the female body with
sophisticated yet demure silhouettes, solid colours and clean cuts.

My regular readers will remember that last year I first stalked the talented designer, Camilla Elphick, dubbed the next Sophia Webster. Not only does she design the most gorgeous shoes, she also has very subtle unique style, with temperatures dropping, I particularly love this look!

Camilla Elphick is one of those shining stars who created a whirlwind of excitement with her debut collection last season, there is no doubt that we have the next big thing in the midst. Her graduate shoe collection, “So Bad,
It’s Good”, gained widespread press coverage with the "Pez" shoe. She
then launched her own shoe brand, with shoes hand-made in Italy starting with
her collection for SS15, "You got the Luck". This season the theme of
the AW15 collection is the "Puuurfect Storm" which features a range
of feminine mid heel and high heel pumps, modern flats and boots all with a
playful twist and the feature of any outfit.
I caught up with her after London Fashion Week, in which she exhibited this simply divine collection.
How did you get to
where you are now?
When I left school I moved to New York to study
at Parsons, The New School for Design. With a serious passion for shoes I then
studied footwear design at Cordwainer at the London College of Fashion. During
my studies I interned and worked for shoe designers including Nicholas
Kirkwood, Sophia Webster, Donna Karan, Paul Andrew and Charlotte Olympia. After
showing my graduate collection I was encouraged to start up the Camilla Elphick
shoe brand.

Shoes this year at London Fashion Week were, funnily enough, not as sky-scrappingly high as usual.. it was actually more about the sneaker and pump than the Manolo's or Louboutin! Here are some of my favourites I snapped during the week of fashion fabulousness!
Starting with the white on white pump - love love love!!!
Billion Dollar Babies
3 August 2013
All shoe addicts out there give me a hhoola!!!
Yes I think I heard quite a few there.. Shoes are one of my biggest financial downfalls, known or unknown, I'm a sucker for any footwear brand, so much so that I have actually had to build an extra wardrobe for them; which is called the shoe wall!!!
These are my latest little gems!
These little beauties are from a shop which I have previously blogged about - yessss, I may have a little obsession with these guys.. Billionaire Italian Couture, even though they only recently have started making shoes for us ladies my gosh have they come onto the shoe market with a bang, one word DIVINE!
I adore their loafers, these bright orange ones harbour a design I adore.. skulls - anything with a skull on it sends me crazy as I'm sure you know if you follow my style regularly. At the moment their women's collection is relatively small but it's growing rapidly - check out their latest here.
