Frieze Recap: Acne Studio, The Underwear Memos
20 October 2014
Last week, London was utterly buzzing with arty action, party after party has resulted in a very burnt out Stalker by today! On Wednesday I popped along to Acne Studios on Dover Street to the launch party of their funky (with a capital F) new underwear line and to celebrate these, their Underwear Memos series.
The series not only showcases the new products,
but also reflects the Swedish brand’s tongue-in-cheek humour and minimalist
aesthetic in a way that will make you smile, even if you’re not sure exactly
what’s going on. Watch the entire series at Acne’s YouTube page and shop
the collection here.
New Fashion Kids On The Block
6 May 2013
If you noticed the a shortage of rock 'n' roll fashion folk in certain parts of London a couple of weeks ago, let me enlighten you to their where-abouts, 46 Carnaby Street for the opening of the first London store of the Parisian Rock 'n' Roll kids Eleven Paris.
Much to the excitement of all the guests mid way through the night, frozen cocktail ice sticks by Icey Done were handed out to all of us who were dancing a little bit too much to Boy George and getting a little bit too hot!!!
Loving BG's eye shadow!!
As well as some awesome music by the likes of Boy George, this was one of those launch parties which were full of delicious surprises, like Big Apple Hotdogs to satisfy our post work munchies and washed down with pink lemonade gin cocktails!
Guests included London's rock creme De Le creme; Daisy Lowe and the Le Bons!
Eleven Paris are the new rock 'n' roll kids on the block in London, two years it was The Kooples, now it's these guys, with a cracking brand attitude and advertising campaign to match, featuring Keith Richards, Iggy Pop and Lenny Kravitz. 10 years old, Eleven Paris has 16 stores in France with 8 in Paris, so I think you will agree it was about time our French fashion friends crossed the waters and opened a stand alone store here, after already having a big presence online and in multi-brand stores such as Urban Outfitters, ASOS and Selfridges.
I adore their tee's most of all and to the delight of all of us money saving shopaholics the tees are on the right side of £50!! Love the Marilyn one above!
Check out their new store on 46 Carnaby Street! Find them online here.

Studio 55DSL Launch Party
26 February 2013
As they used to say, what happens in Studio54 stays in Studio54.. well the days of Andy Warhol's den of creativity are no longer, but there's a new kid on the block in the form Studio 55DSL, part of the well known brand Diesel.
At the launch party of Studio 55, the same rules applied!!
Admittedly this little Style StreetStalker hardly ever ventures East and if I do it's always to Shoreditch and Hoxton, two of my favourite areas buzzing with creative media types, sure enough this is where the 55DSL team decided to hold the launch party for Studio 55! A truly awesome location tucked away under the Hoxton Arches in the venue called 'The Slaughter House' !
55DSL, have a rich history of supporting emerging artists and musicians these past 15 years and more recently through the StudioFiftyFive project. The project provides a creative lab for artists to make and showcase their work.
A cause that is very close to my own creative heart, they have supported street-style photographers Gavin Watson and Alex Fakso, and bands such as 'Little White Lies', acclaimed artists Best Ever and graphic illustrator MitchyBwoy
Urban culture are the fundamental roots of 55DSL, who have sponsored the likes of skater Tony Hawk and surfer Joel Tudor. The brand is designed to represent the fast-paced and vibrant lives of young skateboarders, tattoo artists, street performers and alternative musicians.
Set in a warehouse, we were entertained by the up and coming DJs Gorgon City and Sheffield's legendary Toddla T in the intimate space where one style rule applied - don your beanie and let your hair down!
Le GrandDouche and I raved throughout the night, aided by our faithful friends by the name of Oranjeboom Beer, who sponsored the launch!
Toddla T on the decks.. in his awesome pug tee!!
There is something very exciting about StudioFiftyFive, started originally as only a blog, it’s now on the road to becoming global, showcasing and encouraging new talent on their new fully interactive website. They hold regular events, the latest being a very fun mammoth street party in Box Park in Shoreditch - be sure to check out others they have coming up on their site.

InstaSunday
25 November 2012
Happy Sunday Everyone!!
It's been about a century since I last emptied my Insta-Piggy-Bank, so I thought what better day to it than sat relaxed in front of Carry On Camping with a cappuccino in hand and laptop on lap! If you don't follow me on Instagram here's a little glimpse of whats been going on in The Stalkers den for the last 6 weeks!
Firstly if you haven't seen Burberry's latest Brit collection, get you fashionista bottoms straight down to the Covent Garden store - they have the most divine leather jackets in at the moment all inspired by the biker Prorsum collection of SS11!
There is no doubting I'm a total coffee snob! I've well and truly found my dream coffee shop- Foxcroft & Ginger in Soho - it's a must visit place and the nosh is also true food porn!
The awwwwwesome Chanel bag I borrowed for the launch party for Karl Lagerfeld's Little Black Jacket exhibition, if you missed this here's a little review of the night.
New Tee! I'm really very lazy when it comes to going out, I normally just whack on my leather trousers with a tee with the sleeves cut off! This is my new fav from Mercy and Wild which I found here!
The new mini Celine !
Lanvin recently have collaborated with the creme de la creme of Macaroon companies, Laduree to design their beautiful gift boxes! My favourite Macaroon has to be the salt caramel filling!!! Yum Yum Yum!
Recently I discovered the coolest new sunglasses brand Finlay & Co, all glasses are inspired by 1950s designs and are all individually handmade out of wood.
Burberry Stalking on the Tube!
Happy Thanksgiving! English chicks supporting out American baseball caps!
Take a lil guess where these shoes are from!??! Ohhh yes they are the Maison Martin Margiela collection for H&M, a little bit like fashion Marmite, some people loved it, some people hated it! I personally loved it and couldn't help but snapping up a few pieces! I will reveal what I bought soon!!!

Elvira Vintage Launch Party
5 November 2012
Last Thursday if you were wondering where all the cool cats and kittens were hanging out, try the Elvira Launch party! On the backstreets behind Marble Arch the new Elvira Vintage store opened it's doors for 8 weeks only, perfectly timed for a spot of Christmas shopping. Guests including Tracey Emin, Clara Paget and Jamelia arrived for a fabulous evening of Snow Queen martini's and vintage fashion!
Suitcases and furs filled the window of this shopping treasure trove. Forget those vintage shops that as you enter you are hit with the smell of moth balls, this place is the type of shop you would find in New York's Brooklyn area, where vintage shops are the same as designer boutiques.
After graduating from Central St Martins and The Fashion Institute of Technology New York, Founders Tori Steinberg and Sophie Scrimgeour spent two years living in New York. Inspired by the variety and the high caliber of vintage clothing they saw in Down Town New York and Brooklyn, they were moved to bring a new approach to vintage shopping to the London boutique scene. Therefore, the idea for Elvira Vintage was born.
As we sipped divine Snow Queen vodka martini's, I started making my Christmas list, from vintage trilby's to fur gilets, it would be easy to spend a fortune here, as everything is to die for!
I have to admit, I am not normally a vintage shopping type of gal, mostly because shopping in granny's wardrobe doesn't really float my style boat, but as I said this place is more designer boutique than moth ball heaven! Toni and Sophie have carefully selected items that are current with today's trends, but unlike shopping on the highstreet, you know that you will never have to have the nasty moment of avoiding the person in your office who is wearing the same Zara jacket as you!
Elvira Vintage has popped up from from the 1st November until the 31st December 2012 and is well worth a visit.
