There's something so charming about vintage styling, something which isn't so easy to get right! Sophia a London based PR girl achieves this extremely well, without going overboard, she balances between vintage and modern day styling perfectly! Please meet the our very own 2014 Grease lightening Sandy!!!
What do you do and why do you love your job?
I
am a senior account manager at Dee Vesali Publicity. I love my job as it varies
from day to day and its great being involved in fashion behind the scenes. Pr
is extremely fast paced, there's never a dull moment! I love most meeting lots
of new people and promoting the awesome brands we look after!
My favourite trend for spring summer is the sheer lace. Im
an old-fashioned kind of gal and love anything feminine and floaty. For this
autumn winter I'm looking forward to seeing animal print return as well as more
of an emphasis on accessories-gloves, waist belts etc!
How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style is
influenced heavily by the 50s and 60s. My love is rnb, rock n roll and soul
music from these eras which started to influence the clothes I wore. Films such
as Crybaby with its strong rockabilly look and original B movies such as Beat
Girl. I also look for oriental details such as bamboo and prints and my prized
wardrobe possesion is a 1950s cheongsam dress which has the most beautiful duck
egg blue traditional print!
Favourite designer at
the moment?
I love to shop
online-going to Vivien of Holloway, Heyday and Morellos for a classic 50s repro
look! I also find some great classics on the high st, America Apparel, Cos and
good old M&S!!
Favourite designer at
the moment?
My favourite designer
is Emilia Wickstead. I love her classic shapes and elegant silhouettes in
beautiful colours. For shoes and bags it had to be Charlotte Olympia. I want
everything!
Five items you can't
live without?
The five items I cant
live without are my record player, my El Rana faith hope and charity ring
(given to me by my boyfriend) My pastel blue vintage trench coat which i've had
for years and never lets me down, and my Swedish Hasbeens in the summer. Also
my seamed stockings which are a bit of a trademark!

I love that her look is all about style and vintage, fashion can only get you so far but if you have a clear identity and look you will always stand out!
