Stalked: Joanna, Founder Of Joubi Jewellery

11 November 2013

Having once studied jewellery design myself, there are only a handful of jewellery designers that really catch my eye. This little lady certainly did with her gorgeous cat ear rings and sparkly gems!
After having completed a degree in publishing, Joanna decided to indulge her passion for jewellery and jewellery design by embarking on a career in it and subsequently founded Joubi. She graduated from the Gemological Institute of America in London in 2009 and has since devoted her time to designing and realising her first collection. I caught up with her at her studio and talked all things fluffy fourlegged and sparkly!

When did start designing?
2010 but in December selling for one year

What inspires you?
I'm obsessed with nature and animals. I have three beautiful dogs that I adore, they all have such crazy different characters. I directly draw inspiration from my love of animals for the finer jewellery pieces I design and my diffusion line is more chunky and abstract.

Who are your favourite designers?

Has to be Steven Webster for jewellery. For fashion accessories, Charlotte Olympia, I also love individual Thai street designers. I'm also a big fan of Alexander wang, The Row and Matthew Williamson.

What's you favourite jewellery piece you have designed?
Because I don't wear a watch it would have to be the big link bracelet. (As below)

5 items you can't live without?
iPhone and blackberry, yes I have two!! My dogs - a Chiwawa  and two Jack Russell's, my Wang Bag, my trusty Apple laptop and last but not least of course my Jewellery!

Unlike other jewellery brands, Joubi’s pieces are designed with the individual wearer in mind rather than a particular fashion style or look. Check out Joanna's stunning jewellery here.

Stalked: Lizzy, Gallery Assistant/Fashion Blogger

6 November 2013

Some ask me how do I decide who to stop and stalk, well often it's simply by one item that they are wearing, in Lizzy's case her amazing Bobble hat! So lets find out a little bit about our Lizzy!

What do you do Miss Lizzy? And why do you love your job?

I'm an art gallery assistant but also a fashion blogger. I've always loved art ever since having the coolest history of art teacher at school!

Who is your favourite fashion designer?

If you haven't already guessed - I'm hat mad, so my designer has to be Philip Treacy.

Who are your favourite bloggers?

Has to be Song of Style, Man Repeller and Stockholm Streetstyle.

Five items you can't live without?

My hats (no surprises) my favourite is actually from Topshop, OPI nail varnish colour nude, apple mac and has to be my jewellery that my aunt brought back from India.

Stalked: Anna, The Fashion Blogger

5 November 2013

I always love it when I happen to stalk fellow bloggers, recently I stumbled across the lovely Anna Wallin, this 19 year old Swedish blogger I quizzed on all things bloggy and stylish.

What do you love about blogging?

The reason I started a blog in the first place was to share my pictures, the best part is the positive response I get from my readers about my pictures.

How would you describe your style?

I think my style is quite simple, not too complicated. Right now it feels like I'm in a phase where I'm trying to figure out how my style really is. It's so easy to be too influenced by everybody else that you forget how you really want to look like. I wish I could be a little more brave and leave the safe zone.

Favourite designer?

That's a difficult one, I think one of my favourites at least is Isabel Marant. Just love the patterns, the details and everything!

Five items you can't live without?

Vans, a pair of black jeans, my camera, my watch and my leather jacket
